OPTION UP is a night of music and stories about taking risks and facing challenges while trying to pave your way in the world... with a few high notes thrown in. Monday, June 1st at 9:30pm, Broadway's Carla Stickler will take to the stage in a new way, without all the smoke and mirrors of WICKED to back her up for her solo debut.

The concert, directed by Joe Ricci, with music direction by Doug Oberhamer, will feature music from Sara Bareilles, Katy Perry, Kasey Musgraves, Stephen Sondheim and Jason Robert Brown with special guest songwriters performing their music alongside Stickler are Brian Lowdermilk, Drew Overcash, and Zoe Sarnak and singers Kate Bass and Cassie Okenka. Stickler will be backed by the incomparable music talents of Eric Halvorson, Tony Romano, and Alan Stevens-Hewitt.

Music director Doug Oberhamer says "Carla is an extraordinarily versatile fireball of energy with a lot to say!"

Carla Stickler is most known for understudying the role of Elphaba in Wicked the Musical. She has toured throughout the United States, Canada and Asia and can currently be found at the Gershwin Theatre performing in Wicked 8 times a week. Stickler toured with Wicked, Mamma Mia! and The Sound of Music as well as performed in numerous readings and workshops in New York City. She was awarded a Broadway World Toronto Award for Best Understudy of the Year during her time there with the Wicked 1st National Tour, as well as nominated for a Philadelphia Theater Critic's Award for Best Actress for a one-time performance as Elphaba.

She is excited to be performing at the Metropolitan Room for her first solo show so she can continue to share her passion for the arts.

"Carla is fearless, both emotionally and vocally. It's always exciting to work with an actor who has that kind of control of her instrument. And to do it with such a wide range of musical styles. It's gonna be an amazing show!" says director Joe Ricci.

The Metropolitan Room is located at 34 W 22nd St, New York, NY 10010. For more information and tickets, visit OPTION UP: Carla Stickler at The Metropolitan Room.
