On December 7th, Joe's Pub at The Public will play host to some of the brightest talent on Broadway and television. An incredible cast will come together for a festive concert benefitting the It Gets Better Project, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth.

Amongst those scheduled to appear on the 7th are Janina Gavankar (True Blood, L Word, Mysteries of Laura), Colin Hanlon (Modern Family, Submissions Only, Wicked), Max Jenkins (Mysteries of Laura, High Maintenance), Caissie Levy (Les Miserables, Hair, Ghost), Andy Mientus (Les Miserables, Smash, the Flash), Emily Padgett (Side Show), Lauren Pritchard (Spring Awakening), Ryann Redmond (If/Then, Bring it On), David Reiser (Walker in Babylon), Dee Roscioli (Wicked, Circus in Winter), and Heléne Yorke (Bullets Over Broadway, Masters of Sex, High Maintenance). Dana Haynes will serve as Musical Director for the evening.

Started in 2010, the It Gets Better Project works to connect LGBT youth with a supportive global community and the resources they need to get help. The Project's Executive Director, Ted Farley, states that, "despite a growing amount of acceptance, LGBT young people still face a tremendous amount of rejection both at school and at home, simply because of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity. We are so thrilled to have such a talented group of performers volunteer their time to help bring attention to this cause."

"While the holidays can be a joyous time, they can also be an especially difficult time for anyone not surrounded by the love and support we expect from movies or old carols," said cast member Andy Mientus. "By joining this event, I hope that anyone out there not feeling loved and accepted at this time of year sees that a great big community is waiting to embrace them and that better holidays are within their reach."

Tickets for the evening can be purchased by clicking here, or by calling 212-967-7555.
