Cafe Carlyle Welcomes Back Tommy Tune Tonight

Ten-time Tony nominee Tommy Tune returns to Cafe Carlyle beginning tonight, January 12, through January 22, taking Chita Rivera's previous engagement slot, who was forced to cancel due to a pelvic fracture.

At the Carlyle, Tune will be joined by musical director Michael Biagi on piano, Marc Schmied on bass and John Myers on drums.

Performances will take place tonight, January 12; Thursday, January 14; Friday, January 15; Saturday, January 16; Wednesday, January 20; Thursday, January 21; Friday, January 22.

Reservations made by phone at 212.744.1600 are $70 ($120 for premium seating, $50 for bar seating) Tuesday - Thursday; and $80 ($130 for premium seating, $60 for bar seating) on Friday and Saturday. Café Carlyle is located in The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel (35 East 76th Street, at Madison Avenue).

Tommy Tune has enchanted audiences for decades and is one of the country's most prolific performers. He has received 10 Tony Awards (Best Actor in a Musical - My One and Only, Best Featured Actor in a Musical - Seesaw,Best Choreography - A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine, My One and Only, Grand Hotel and The Will Rogers Follies,Best Direction of a Musical - Nine, Grand Hotel and The Will Rogers Follies, and the 2015 Tony for Life Achievement in the Theatre), The National Medal of Arts and 8 Drama Desk Awards among countless other accolades. Additionally, he has been honored with his own star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame and was inducted into the Theater Hall of Fame by Gwen Verdon. In 2009, New York Landmarks Conservancy designated Mr. Tune as a Living Landmark. Last year, he received rave reviews for his tap dancing and singing role in the Encores! Production ofLady, Be Good! at New York City Center.
