On June 10, 2016, reknowned #QueenOfScrelt Cacophony Daniels (Courter Simmons) will return "Under the 'C'," in a fun and inspirational cabaret tribute to Grammy- and Oscar-winning playwright and lyricist Howard Ashman that celebrates the lovable misfit in us all. Directed by Jonathan Hadley, with music direction by Kyle Branzel, "Under the 'C'" honors the recent 25th anniversary of Howard Ashman's death from AIDS-related complications.
Performed only as Cacophony can -- in their original keys -- featured songs will include some of Ashman's award-winning standards from Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Little Shop of Horrors, as well as lesser-known gems from Smile, Babe, and Diamonds. Tickets are $10 in advance at
purplepass.com/cacophony or $15 at the door. Use code HARLEMUNITED to donate your ticket cost to the non-profit Harlem United.
Always the loudest girl in the room, singer, actress, over-the-top drag diva, and nightlife personality Cacophony Daniels has been featured in NBC's The Mysteries of Laura (The Mystery of the Popped Pugilist), in Broadway Sessions, and in venues throughout New York City.
