On Monday April 23rd, Vanessa Ragland and Sarah Ziegler will host a fundraiser cabaret for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The night will feature new works by Joe Kinosian and Kellen Blair (Murder For Two), Sam Carner and Derek Gregor (Unlock'd), Adam Michael Kaufman and Martin Landry, Adam Overett, Ian Weinberger, and Oran Eldor and Sarah Ziegler. In addition to contributing new medically-themed material, Kinosian, Landry, Overett (Light in the Piazza) and Ziegler will also be performing. Other performers include Holly Buczek, Mark Campbell (Mamma Mia!), Janice Landry, Vanessa Ragland, Ari Rossen, Erin Sjostrom, and Cecelia Ticktin.

Joe Kinosian (music and book) and Kellen Blair (lyrics and book) met in the BMI Musical Theatre Writing Workshop, where they're currently Advanced Members. Murder for Two, their award-winning murder mystery musical comedy, recently received its world premiere production at Chicago Shakespeare Theater (where it was extended four times and ran for over six months and received a Joseph Jefferson Award for Best New Musical).

Sam Carner (lyrics and book) and Derek Gregor (music) met at NYU Tisch Graduate Musical Theater Writing program. Their musical Unlock'd received a Richard Rodgers Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and was produced at the New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2007, where it won the "Best of Fest" audience award and received Talkin' Broadway Summer Theatre Festival Citations for "Outstanding New Musical" and "Outstanding Original Theatrical Score."

Vanessa Ragland is an L.A.-based actor, writer, comedian, and host. A graduate of Groundlings, Westside Comedy, and UCB, she has performed stand-up at SF Sketchfest. Vanessa co-hosts a podcast, Pop My Culture, which was named by Rolling Stone as the second best comedy podcast.
