CABARET CARES Series to Return for Season 11 with Joseph Macchia Birthday Celebration

The award-winning benefit cabaret series Cabaret Cares returns September 24th with a huge birthday celebration for producer and creator Joseph Macchia. Come celebrate Joseph's birthday on his actual birthday, followed by the 11th year kick-off of Cabaret Cares.

11 years ago Joseph decided no more gifts or parties, just an evening of great music which would benefit charity. Since then the monthly fundraising series has gone on to include cabaret shows with the Broadway Casts of The Producers, The Little Mermaid, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Jersey Boys, In The Heights and On Your Feet, as well as cabaret performers Marilyn Maye, Amanda McBroom, KT Sullivan, and more.

Macchia's goal was to raise $100,000 in ten years, and the series did that in just eight years.

Cabaret Cares is the main fundraising event for Help Is On The Way Today, a non for profit founded by Joseph to help children, teens and youth living with HIV and AIDS in New York. Providing these children, teens and youth with medical supplies, school supplies, holiday gifts, and currently the organization is working on scholarship and mentoring programs. The series has raised over $160,000 for the organization.
