The Broadway Theater Workshops-Lower Hudson Valley Youth Chorus will present NO ONE IS ALONE, it's 2nd Annual Holiday Benefit to help families in need, featuring songs from Broadway as well as holiday favorites, on Sunday, December 21st in Montvale, New Jersey.
Lower Hudson Valley Youth Chorus, conducted by Jared Rosenblum, will be joined in the concert by special guest stars Carole Demas (GREASE, TV's The Magic Garden), Lewis Grosso (NEWSIES, MARY POPPINS), Lee Horwin (JACQUES BREL... ), Nancy Ringham (FOLLIES, THE WILL ROGERS FOLLIES), cabaret favorite Steve Ross (PRESENT LAUGHTER), Luis Villabon (A CHORUS LINE International Company), Gay Willis (SHOW BOAT, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA), Tony Award nominee Walter Willison (PIPPIN, GRAND HOTEL), Peter Winograd (2nd Chair violinist of The Metropolitan Opera), Blarney Stew Band, and the St. Joseph Regional High School cast of MISS SAIGON.
Produced and directed by Jared Rosenblum and Walter Willison, with musical direction by Tracey Grimaldi and Steve Ross, sound design by Stuart J. Allyn, lighting design by Roger Kintish.
Lower Hudson Valley Youth Chorus was founded by Jared Rosenblum in 2007. The chorus is comprised of students ages six to eighteen, with young beginners singing alongside Broadway professionals. They have appeared at events including NY Knicks, Mets, and Harlem Globetrotters games, and most recently as the opening day pre-show for The Radio City Music Hall 2014 Christmas Spectacular.
Established in 2001, Broadway Theater Workshops is the premiere theater program in Bergen, Rockland and Westchester counties, offering multiple level programs including acting, vocal instruction, musical direction, technical and set design, stage management, choreography, costuming, hair and makeup, and stage combat, taught by theater professionals,
All proceeds raised at this event will go directly to helping the family of Billy Keenan, a North Rockland High school teacher and musician who suffered a catastrophic injury to his spinal cord in a 2013 surfing accident, and the family of Kara Jean Fleming, who is living with Huntington's Disease, a devastating, hereditary, degenerative brain disorder for which there is, at present, no effective treatment or cure.
The performance begins at 6:30pm at the Inserra Theater, St. Joseph Regional High School, 40 Chestnut Ridge Road, Montvale New Jersey.
