Broadway Stars to Sing The Music of Bobby Cronin to Benefit The Humane Society

Award-winning composer and lyricist Bobby Cronin will hold the final concert of his international tour at The Green Room 42 on April 19th at 8pm.

Produced by Yael Silver, whose previous credits include "Queer Composers for Orlando," and most recently, "Artists for the Arts: A Little Help From My Friends," this benefit concert for the Humane Society will feature all original material from Bobby Cronin's musicals and films.

The April 19th concert will feature special guest Broadway artists: Kate Rockwell ("Bring It On" & "Rock of Ages"), Anne Brummel ("Wicked"), George Psomas ("Fiddler on the Roof" & "South Pacific), Bryan Fenkart ("Memphis"), Adam Kaplan ("Newsies" & "Kinky Boots"), Lauren Elder ("Sideshow", "Hair"), and Jamison Scott ("Motown" & "Memphis").

The musical director for this special New York City benefit performance is Ken Mallor, and will include four European artists: Kim Andenmatten, Lisandro Nesis, Clara Roxanne, and Perle Solves and New York singers : Jennifer Pernia and Angelo McDonough. The concert will also introduce two up-and-coming musical theatre performers, Casey Gilbert (Texas A&M University) and Law Dunford (Wright State University) who are the winners of the Bobby Cronin & Friends competition for recent college graduates.

Bobby is an award-winning composer/writer. His theatre projects include: "The Cover" which is being developed for Glee's Ali Stroker with bookwriter, Crystal Skillman; "Mary & Max" (based on the claymation film of the same name) with Crystal Skillman, Honumculus Mask Theatre, AchesonWalsh Puppetry Studios ("War Horse"), and director Strafford Arima ("Allegiance"); "Til Death Do Us Part" (2016 Overtures Series directed by Kent Nicholson) with bookwriter, Caroline Prugh; "Welcome To My Life" (W2ML); "Alone in the U.S." with Terry Berliner; "The Concrete Jungle", commissioned in 2011 for London's Esteemed ArtsEd (President: Andrew Lloyd Webber) opened in London in 2012; "Daybreak" premiered in Wayne, NJ & London's Tristan Bates Theatre in 2012. Bobby was one of the NEO Writers for the York Theatre Company's 2014-2015 season with Stephen Flaherty as his mentor. He's a Yale graduate where he won the MIchael P.
