Ben Cameron (Wicked, Aida, Footloose) is the host and creator of Broadway Sessions at The Midtown Theatre at the HA! Comedy Club (163 West 46th Street / Between 6th & 7th Avenues) every Thursday night at 11:00pm. Broadway Sessions is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week, and features musical director/composer Will Van Dyke (Rent) on piano. In addition after the show we open the microphone up to anyone who wants to sing. Open mic goes from 12:00-2am.

This Thursday, September 8st, 2011 the weekly show, now in it's 3rd year, will welcome Adam Kantor, Matt DeAngelis, performances from The Legend of Julie Taymor and Chetan Chaubal.

Adam Kantor currently star as Princeton/Rod in Avenue Q. Kantor has appeared on Broadway in Next to Normal and the final company of Rent. Matt DeAngelis has been in featured in the recent Broadway, London and national touring productions of Hair.

The Legend of Julie Taymor features book and lyrics by Travis Ferguson and Music/lyrics by Dave Ogrin. The show recently enjoyed a sold out run at the NY Fringe festival and will be enjoying a run at the festivals Encore series September 14th -17th.  Audience members will have the opportunity to win tickets to Avenue Q and The Legend of Julie Taymor. Open mic party goes til 2 am featuring Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano

Broadway Sessions takes place every Thursday evening at The Midtown Theater, 163 west 46th street inside the HA! Comedy Club. Doors open at 10:40 pm with showtime at 11pm and musical theater open mic party goes til 2 am. There is NO cover charge. Donations will be collected for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids.
