Sophie Tucker would get
The Shuberts to donate a theater & she would produce an annual show. The money raised would help pay for the temple's yearly expenses. Now they just have me to gather my theater and cabaret performer friends. It's always a swell party, as well as a mitzvah!"
Rabbi
Jill Hausman said: "We're hoping this year's benefit will help us to restore the beautiful stai
Ned Glass windows as well as other parts of our aged synagogue which are in dire need of repair." Actors' Temple President, Robert Reicher added: "Our goal is to strengthen our ties to the New York theater community and restore our shul to its original beauty, as it was when
Sophie Tucker,
Jack Benny and
