Cabaret, Chicago, Funny Lady and more... Kander & Ebb wrote them all. Diva-Chanteuse, Melody La Rouge sings them all in this tribute to Broadway's best!

Kander & Ebb have been responsible for some of the greatest creations of the American musical stage. Diva-Chanteuse Melody La Rouge presents a tribute to the songs of these multiple Tony Award winners. Ms La Rouge is a performer in the tradition of power singers such as Liza Minnelli and Chita Rivera. This one-woman show features classic hits of stage & screen from Chicago , Cabaret, Kiss of the Spider Woman , New York New York and many more.

Melody La Rouge is aka singer and actress Kerry Hodgkin. A 33 Records recording artiste, she has worked on the UK Jazz & Blues scenes for many years – with successful runs at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2009 and 2010 with her show “Jazz Table in the Corner” and 2011 with “Shades of Blue” at the award-winning Jazz Bar. She has sung everywhere from Ronnie Scott’s in London to BB King’s in New York. However, in 2010 she began to sing on the London Cabaret/Burlesque scene – loved it - and in 2011 Melody La Rouge was born, press notes state.

Kiss of the Red Menace premiered at Brighton Fringe in May 2011 and was also presented at Edinburgh Fringe that year. In 2012 the show goes on a Fringe Festival Tour encompassing Brighton Fringe (May), Oxford Fringe (June), Buxton Fringe (July), Camden Fringe (early August) and Edinburgh Fringe (late August). All this in a re-written version including more fun and fascinating anecdotes about Kander & Ebb and the divas that inspired them!

All shows are FREE with donations taken afterwards at the door. Please note that due to venue restrictions, all performances are 18+.
