Brandon Sturiale Brings A SECOND FIRST IMPRESSION to 54 Below Tonight

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Brandon Sturiale in "A Second First Impression" tonight, June 26th, at 9:30pm. Sturiale is known as a music director/pianist, but now he's choosing the notes himself, having just released an album of original music that received 5 out of 5 stars on mainlypiano.com. The first half of the show will include his melodic piano solos along with hilarious anecdotes about growing up in small-town middle America, where he learned to play piano instead of sports out of fear of being hit with the ball. For the second half, he will be joined on stage by a 4-piece band and several incredible Broadway performers to help sing his adult contemporary vocal songs, which have been compared to Elton John and Jim Brickman. Throw in his amusing cabaret songs (one of which was a finalist in the Ken Davenport Songwriting Competition), a selection from his upcoming musical, and a fan-favorite surprise, and you have a delightful evening of music and humor you won't want to miss!

Brandon Sturiale is "an incredibly talented composer/performer" (Chelsea Clinton News) "whose amusing banter indicates he could capitalize on that skill" (Backstage). His laid-back, natural vibe perfectly complements his music, which has been called "lush" and "poignant", but he's careful not to take himself too seriously. In addition to his solo piano album, Light of a New Day, he has also written several adult-contemporary pop songs (with lyrics), children's songs, film scores, cabaret songs, and musicals. Notable names he has worked with include Mary Testa, Tonya Pinkins, Len Cariou, Orfeh, Michele Pawk, Baayork Lee, Chuck Wagner, and Paolo Montalban. He also had the honor of performing for Tony Randall's National Actors Theatre at the Plaza Hotel, along with Tony Bennett.
