Birdland is proud to announce that Broadway singer/dancer Ariana DeBose will perform in concert. Recently seen as the reigning queen of disco in Summer: The Donna Summer Musical, the Tony Nominated Actress and Chita Rivera Award winning dancer scales it back with jazz renditions of songs by Janelle Monae, Shirley Bassey, Paul McCartney, Adam Levine and more.

Lorna Dallas at the Birdland Theater
Birdland Theater is proud to announce the return of singer Lorna Dallas to the stage, with one show only, premiering a sparkling new show, "STAGES," devised by her two long time collaborators, musical director Christopher Denny and director Barry Kleinbort. "STAGES" refers to those theaters and nightclubs where Ms. Dallas displayed her formidable gifts as a singer and top tier interpreter of popular song, as well as to the formative stages in a life, stages that have taken her from a small town in Southern Illinois to the rarefied hothouse atmosphere of New Orleans and on to dazzling nights in the West End with Sammy Cahn and Dame Cleo Laine, culminating in Royal Command performances for Queen Elizabeth and the Royal family. The musical program is equally diverse, ranging from unforgettable standards and show tunes by Broadway's greats to little known but equally worthy gems from both sides of the "pond." In short, "STAGES" offers a treasure trove of glorious singing, intimate detail and heartfelt reminiscence.

Jim Caruso's Cast Party is a wildly popular weekly soiree that brings a sprinkling of Broadway glitz and urbane wit to the legendary Birdland in New York City every Monday night. It's a cool cabaret night-out enlivened by a hilariously impromptu variety show. Showbiz superstars, backed by Steve Doyle on bass, Billy Stritch on piano and Daniel Glass on drums, hit the stage alongside up-and-comers, serving up jaw-dropping music and general razzle-dazzle.

Celebrating the release of, "Alone Together," during her annual Valentine's week residence at Birdland, Grammy nominated vocalist Catherine Russell bolsters her reputation as one of the foremost interpreters of early-20th century American music. In addition to her own acclaimed recordings, Russell has been prominently featured providing period music on the soundtracks to HBO's "Boardwalk Empire" and other film and television productions.

Susie Mosher at the Birdland Theater
The Lineup with Susie Mosher is a wild, anything-goes variety show featuring entertainers from the Broadway, cabaret and comedy scenes. Actress/singer Mosher hosts the spontaneous extravaganza at 9:30pm on the first and third Tuesday of every month.

Now in its 14th year of residency at Birdland, the weekly post-workday engagement is the city's best musical bargain! Billy Stritch "My Winter Valentine" at the Birdland Theater

Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch at the Birdland Theater
Birdland mainstays Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch return to Birdland Theater at with their evening of swinging standards. Bassist Steve Doyle will join the duo. Caruso and Stritch, who have performed extensively on their own, gained national exposure together as the host and musical director of the wildly popular open mic, Cast Party, which celebrates talent every Monday at Birdland in NYC, and tours nationally. The duo has also received critical acclaim during their seven years at Bemelmans at The Carlyle Hotel, and made international news when rock legend Bono joined them in an impromptu performance. The musical pair has also become the darlings of the show biz set, welcoming spontaneous performances by stars including Liza Minnelli, Michael Feinstein, Jane Monheit, Clint Holmes, Marilyn Maye, Stephanie J. Block, Steve Ross, Linda Lavin, Darren Criss, LuAnn de Lesseps, Laura Osnes, Liliane Montevecchi, Christine Ebersole, and Steve Tyrell.

The Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra
Grammy Award winning pianist, composer and educator Arturo O'Farrill -- leader of the "first family of Afro-Cuban Jazz" (NY Times) -- was born in Mexico and grew up in New York City. Son of the late, great composer Chico O'Farrill, Arturo was Educated at Manhattan School of Music, Brooklyn College Conservatory and the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. He played piano in Carla Bley's Big Band from 1979 through 1983 and earned a reputation as a soloist in groups led by Dizzy Gillespie, Steve Turre, Freddy Cole, Lester Bowie, Wynton Marsalis and Harry Belafonte.
