Birdland will kick-off their great week of programming with Ann Hampton Callaway: The Linda Ronstadt Songbook, Ingrid Jensen Quintet:, Natalie Douglas "The Birthday Show, and more!

The Broadway at Birdland concert series is proud to announce that singer Natalie Douglas will celebrate her birthday with "The Birthday Show."

Ari Axelrod at the Birdland Theater

Birdland Theater is proud to announce that singer Ari Axelrod will be performing the NYC debut of "A Celebration of Jewish Broadway," honoring the songs and stories of Jewish composers and their contributions to the American Musical. Beloved melodies and lyrics by the likes of Irving Berlin, Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Schwartz, and Carole King will transport the audience back to the streets of the theatre district, your bubbie's Shabbos table, or the places of your dreams.

Jim Caruso's Cast Party

Jim Caruso's Cast Party is a wildly popular weekly soiree that brings a sprinkling of Broadway glitz and urbane wit to the legendary Birdland in New York City every Monday night. It's a cool cabaret night-out enlivened by a hilariously impromptu variety show. Showbiz superstars, backed by Steve Doyle on bass, Billy Stritch on piano and Daniel Glass on drums, hit the stage alongside up-and-comers, serving up jaw-dropping music and general razzle-dazzle.

Kelly Green Trio at the Birdland Theater

Pianist, vocalist and composer Kelly Green is excited to release her new record Volume One with the Kelly Green Trio on December 5th, 2018. A follow up to her 2017 debut Life Rearranged, which featured luminaries Christian McBride and Steve Nelson, Volume One presents the talented songstress at home with her long-standing trio consisting of Alex Tremblay (bass) and Evan Hyde (drums). The release of Volume One will be celebrated on December 5th at Mezzrow.

Ann Hampton Callaway: The Linda Ronstadt Songbook

Tony nominee Ann Hampton Callaway, one of the leading pop/jazz singers of our time, has created an exciting night of songs and stories in celebration of one of America's most beloved artists, Linda Ronstadt. On the heels on Ann's symphonic/PAC triumph, The Streisand Songbook, this show celebrates the many faces of love in Ronstadt's iconic songs from her Stone Poney Days like "Different Drum" and "Long Long Time" to pop/rock classics like "You're No Good," and "Desperado" to unforgettable classics from her three Nelson Riddle albums like "What's New" and "Am I Blue," to her iconic duets which Callaway will perform with her brilliant MD, Billy Stritch. Adding to the electrifying sound is Martin Wind on bass, Tim Horner on drums, and Linda's long time guitarist and arranger, Bob Mann. Romantic, rousing, and joyous, The Linda Ronstadt Songbook promises to be the perfect night of music.

David Ostwald's Louis Armstrong Eternity Band

Inspired by the noble jazz pioneers Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke, Duke Ellington, Jelly Roll Morton and their colleagues, David Ostwald's Louis Armstrong Eternity Band breathes life and passion into America's own great art form. Now in its 14th year of residency at Birdland, the weekly post-workday engagement is the city's best musical bargain! Tuba player David Ostwald leads a rotating lineup that features talents such as clarinetist Anat Cohen, trombonist/vocalist Wycliffe Gordon, pianist Ehud Asherie, drummer Marion Felder and more!

Ingrid Jensen Quintet at the Birdland Theater

Ingrid Jensen has been hailed as one of the most gifted trumpeters of her generation. After graduating from Berklee College of Music in 1989, she went on to record three highly acclaimed CDs for the ENJA record label, soon becoming one of the most in-demand trumpet players on the global jazz scene.

David Bixler Auction Project featuring Arturo O'Farrill

Fusing Celtic, jazz and Afro-Latin influences, super group The Auction Project-led by alto saxophonist, flutist, and composer David Bixler, and featuring Grammy Award-winning pianist and composer Arturo O'Farrill-create a surprising, richly textured and thoroughly enjoyable sound. The Auction Project explores how a traditional fiddle phrase fits atop a breezy, post-bop groove as this sextet makes history and stakes out uncommon musical territory. In addition to O'Farrill and Bixler, The Auction Project features Grammy Award-winning percussionist Vince Cherico, Grammy-nominated accordionist Victor Prieto, violinist/fiddler Heather Bixler and bassist Carlo De Rosa.

The Birdland Big Band

Founded by drummer and musical director Tommy Igoe, the Birdland Big Band features the finest musicians in New York! Joining Eric will be eminent bassist/composer Sean Smith -- in all, a perfect winter Saturday supper!

George Gee Orchestra

The 17pc. George Gee Swing Orchestra performs the big band arrangements and compositions of the great Frank Foster, celebrating the 15th Anniversary of their recording collaboration of "Settin' The Pace".

Joe Alterman at the Birdland Theater

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Joe Alterman studied music at New York University, where he received both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Jazz Piano Performance. In addition to performances with Houston Person, Les McCann and his own trio, among others, Alterman has performed at many world renowned venues including the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, Birdland and New York's Blue Note, where Alterman has opened, many times, for Ramsey Lewis. Only 29 years old, Alterman has released four critically-acclaimed albums, his most recent being 2017's "Comin' Home To You".

The Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra

Grammy Award winning pianist, composer and educator Arturo O'Farrill -- leader of the "first family of Afro-Cuban Jazz" (NY Times) -- was born in Mexico and grew up in New York City. Son of the late, great composer Chico O'Farrill, Arturo was Educated at Manhattan School of Music, Brooklyn College Conservatory and the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. He played piano in Carla Bley's Big Band from 1979 through 1983 and earned a reputation as a soloist in groups led by Dizzy Gillespie, Steve Turre, Freddy Cole, Lester Bowie, Wynton Marsalis and Harry Belafonte.
