Betsy Morgan & More to Perform Songs by Braverman & Hassler at Don't Tell Mama, 11/24

Musical theatre songwriting team Braverman and Hassler present an evening of original cabaret songs and selections from their musicals Queen of the West and The White Rose, performed by a cast that features Briana Carlson-Goodman (Les Miserables), Betsy Morgan (Found, A Little Night Music), Catherine Ricafort (Cinderella, Honeymoon In Vegas), Will Roland (The Black Suits, LoserSongs), Celeste Rose, and Noah Zachary (Clown Bar). "It's About Time" marks Braverman and Hassler's long-awaited New York cabaret debut. Direction is by Don't Tell Mama's associate director of programming Max Friedman and musical direction is by Matt Aument.

Landon Braverman (Music) and Derek P. Hassler (Book & Lyrics) are a musical theatre writing team based in New York. Together they have writtenQueen of the West, which won the awards for Best Musical and Best Score in the Manhattan Theatre Mission's "New Musicals Showcase." Their musical Choices played an award-winning run off-Broadway as part of the West Village Musical Theatre Festival, was produced by NAAP for their "Discover" series, was a top 10 Finalist in the Ken Davenport Short Play Competition, and was also presented in concert in Chicago. Their music has been heard in cabaret venues across the city, including Lincoln Center, 54 Below, the Laurie Beechman, and as far as LA and London, England. They recently returned from Vancouver, Canada where they presented a special concert of their work as part of the 2014 Chutzpah International Festival. They are both alums of the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program at Tisch-NYU, and proud members of the Dramatists Guild.
