54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Ben Thompson in his solo show debut for a one-night-only performance, Tuesday, August 25th, at 9:30 PM. Thompson will take the audience on a genre-bending sonic journey through some of his favorite songs - spanning rock, rap and punk, to Broadway, jazz and even some original tunes.
He will be joined by special guests Gerard Canonico (American Idiot, Spring Awakening), Nicholas Christopher (Motown the Musical, RENT), Brian Charles Johnson(American Idiot, Spring Awakening), Tamika Lawrence (Book of Mormon, Matilda, IF/THEN), Donald Webber, Jr. (Motown the Musical, Holler If Ya Hear Me), and his wife, Kat Nejat (West Side Story, Lysistrata Jones). The concert will feature musical direction by Michael Gacetta (Matilda, Book of Mormon) and a killer 4-piece band.

Ben Thompson just wrapped shooting the upcoming film version of Anton Chekov's "The Seagull" directed by Michael Mayer. Earlier this summer, he was seen in movie theatres across America in the film "Freedom" with Academy Award winner Cuba Gooding, Jr. Thompson is best known for his work on Broadway, where he was last seen starring alongside Saul Williams, Tony winner Tonya Pinkins, and Hamilton's Christopher Jackson as the guitar-playing mechanic Griffy in Holler If Ya Hear Mebased on the work of Tupac Shakur and directed by Kenny Leon. Prior to that, he appeared as the hammer-throwing headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, in Matilda the Musical. Ben made his Broadway debut in Green Day's American Idiot and appeared with the band Green Day on "The Grammy Awards," "Monday Night Football" and NBC's "America's Got Talent," as well as "The Tony Awards" with the original Broadway casts of both Matilda and American Idiot. Off-Broadway, he was seen in the original casts of RENT and Carrie.
