Becca C Kidwell Presents a Fourth Performance of 'A Song & Its Girl' ImageBecca C. Kidwell reprises her debut show, "A Song & Its Girl," at Don't Tell Mama for its fourth time on Wednesday, March 7th at 7pm. Her professional debut explores her journey from being a shy, quiet girl to a strong, confident woman under the artful direction of Gretchen Reinhagen and musical direction of Tracy Stark, both MAC and Bistro Award winners.

Becca shares her joy through music by Jule Styne, Cole Porter, Stephen Schwartz, Percy Mayfield, Lin Manuel-Miranda, Charles Fox, Joey Contreras, Tori Amos, Randy Newman, Dar Williams, Rachel Bloom and originals of Tracy Stark. Bistro, MAC award winner, and Broadway performer, Eric Michael Gillett states, "Becca Kidwell's infectious joy in her music is transcendent. Her emotional connection to each song is palpable and she positively glows as she digs deep into the story she shares through her music." Bob Diamond, 2017 MAC Award winner for Best Male Vocalist declares, "There is such joy, truth and love in this amazing first show. I had a smile on my face even when there were tears in my eyes." And these sentiments are affirmed by 2017 MAC Hanson Award winner, Ira Lee Collings who states, "Becca Kidwell touched us with her warmth and winning ways. A wonderful debut!"

Becca was the Artistic Director of Swiftly Tilting Theatre Project and has produced and directed four major productions. She founded the theatre review blog The New England Theatre Geek and has published a monograph on grief in the musical Next to Normal. She has been singing all of her life in choirs, but she has only been singing in solo performances for the past two years. "A Song & Its Girl" marks her professional debut in the cabaret community.

"A Song & Its Girl" returns to Don't Tell Mama (www.donttellmamanyc.com, 343 West 46th Street, NYC, 212-757-0788) on Wednesday, March 7th at 7:00 PM. There is a $15 cover charge and 2 drink minimum. Don't Tell Mama is a CASH-ONLY room. For more information, visit: http://beccackidwell.com.
