The Carlyle Hotel is pleased to present Barbara Cook in a limited six-week engagement in the newly restored Café Carlyle.  Having recently celebrated her 80th birthday with sold out concerts in New York and Los Angeles, Cook returns to the legendary New York venue that she has played every year since making her debut engagement in 1981.

Beginning Tuesday, March 4 and playing a limited six-week engagement through Saturday, April 12, Cook will present an all new program - "Love Is Good For Anything That Ails You"  - a special collection of songs devoted to that universal subject – love.  Audiences can expect to hear such familiar standards including Irving Berlin's "I Got Lost in His Arms," Rodgers & Hart's "Where or When," and Burton Lane's "Old Devil Moon" to newer songs including Peter Allen's "Harbour,"  "Sooner or Later" from Song of the South by Charles Wolcott and Ray Gilbert, and John Bucchino's "If I Ever Say I'm Over You."

Cook will be supported by a trio, Peter Donovan (bass) and Jim Saporito (drums) led by her Musical Director, Lee Musiker (piano).

The performance schedule is as follows: Tuesday – Thursday at 8:45PM - $90 music charge; Friday- Saturday at 8:45PM - $125 music charge; Saturday at 10:45PM - $100 music charge.  Dinner is served from 6:30PM.

Café Carlyle is located within The Carlyle Hotel (35 East 76th Street at Madison Avenue). For reservations, please call (212) 744-1600. www.thecarlyle.com
