Barb Jungr joins forces with the formidably talented Grammy and two-time Emmy Award winning U.S. composer, arranger and Music Director, John McDaniel to bring their exciting "1968-Let The Sun Shine In" back to New York City for one show at Birdland on Oct. 22nd, before moving on to Chicago, St. Louis and Los Angeles before the end of the month.

After wowing audiences at Joe's Pub in a major engagement this past summer, the ferociously talented duo appeared at Berlin's Bar Jeder Vernunft. View a video from that engagement below.

Jungr and McDaniel reinvent some of the most iconic anthems of 1968, when the Viet Nam War and its protestors clashed and raged, and the U.S. saw the assassinations of both Robert F. Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King. The repertoire of "1968 - Let The Sun Shine In" reflects the tenor of the times with titles including "Born To Be Wild," "Do You Know The Way To San Jose?," and "Aquarius."

Jungr and McDaniel's "1968-Let The Sun Shine In" will play at Davenport's in Chicago, Oct. 25th at the Kranzberg Arts Center in St. Louis on Oct. 27th, and at Catalina Jazz Club in Los Angeles on Oct. 30th.

Barb Jungr and John McDaniel have just released their second recording together, which they've been celebrating with a wide ranging UK tour: Float Like a Butterfly: Songs of Sting.
