Notable graduates from Baldwin Wallace University will band together on August 26 to honor the life of fellow grad Kyle Jean-Baptiste, the Les Miserables cast member who tragically passed away in 2015. Jean-Baptiste was the youngest, and the first African-American actor, to play the leading role of "Jean Valjean" on Broadway. The Kyle Jean-Baptiste Foundation, which was founded in 2016 in his name, supports and provides opportunities of enrichment and learning to empower youth, families, and communities through the Arts.
The concert will feature Adrian Bumpas (A Chorus Line), Cole Burden (Bridges of Madison County), Keri Rene Fuller (Waitress), Kyra Kennedy (Waitress), Rod Lawrence (The Lion King), Sam Leicht (The Lightning Thief), Patty Lohr (Kinky Boots), Corey Mach (Kinky Boots), Jen Noble (King Kong), Kyle Post (Kinky Boots), Colton Ryan (Dear Evan Hansen), Anthony Sagaria (American Psycho), and Nyla Watson (The Color Purple).
The concert is produced by Broadway Sings Productions, developed in 2012 by Corey Mach. Broadway Sings currently resides at Sony Hall, as well as their spinoff series, UNPLUGGED, at The Green Room 42.
