John Treacy Egan will present Rudolph Unplugged at the Laurie Beechman Theatre on Sunday, November 29 at 7:00pm and Monday, November 30 at 9:30pm.
Egan, who is currently appearing on Broadway in The Roundabout Theatre's Bye Bye Birdie, whrote Rudolph, which has been described as is an adult-friendly "what ever happened to" mini-musical that includes characters from the holiday television special, Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
A Broadway regular, Egan has also starred as Chef Louis in Disney's The Little Mermaid and appeared in the recent production of The Producers. He was an original cast member of the Broadway production of Jekyll & Hyde and can be seen in the film version through Broadway Television Networks/Atlantic Recordings. He has toured the U.S. and Europe in productions of Kiss Me, Kate and Cats. His many other stage credits include When Pigs Fly.

Egan can be seen nightly in Bye Bye Birdie at the Henry Miller's Theatre. In Bye Bye Birdie, the exuberant rock n' roll musical comedy, it's 1960 and hip-swingin' teen idol superstar Conrad Birdie (Funk) has been drafted into the army. Birdie's manager Albert (Stamos) and his secretary Rosie (Gershon) have cooked up a plan to send him off with a swell new song and one last kiss from a lucky teenage fan on "The Ed Sullivan Show."
