Broadway talents from shows such as Merrily We Roll Along and both the upcoming Old Friends and Pirates! The Penzance Musical will join the starry lineup for the next brand-new installment of the acclaimed Broadway Sings concert series, celebrating pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo.
A knockout roster of Broadway stars will sing the original arrangements from Rodrigo's two albums, Sour and Guts, accompanied by an 11-piece orchestra playing original orchestrations never heard before.
The full lineup boasts Jordan Dobson (Hadestown), Meg Dwinell (Spring Awakening), Charissa Hogeland (Frozen), D'Nasya Jordan (Summer), Kyra Kennedy (Waitress), Preston Perez (Frozen), Samantha Williams (Pirates!), andMaria Wirries (Old Friends).
The concert will give tribute to this Grammy and Billboard Award Winner, featuring her original arrangements of hits like “vampire”, “drivers license”, “deja vu” and “good 4 u”. The music orchestrated by Joshua Stephen Kartes and music directed by Ben Moss.
Broadway Sings Olivia Rodrigo, produced and directed by Corey Mach (Merrily We Roll Along, & Juliet), will celebrate the talent and success of this award-winning artist. Previous singers honored in the series include Sara Bareilles, Beyoncé, The Beatles, Adele, and Celine Dion.
