The Town Hall 2014 Summer Season: Broadway Preludes presents Broadway Rising Stars, the annual revue giving recent graduates from the nation's leading performing arts schools a chance to showcase their talents and perform on the legendary stage. Directed by Scott Coulter, Broadway Rising Stars is created, hosted and written by Scott Siegel and features the brightest talent from AMDA, CAP 21, Circle in the Square, Juilliard, Marymount, The New School, NYU's Steinhardt and Tisch, Pace University, and more. The event will feature a special guest appearance by Tony Award winner Bill Irwin (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Fool Moon). Broadway Rising Stars plays one night only, tonight, July 14 at 8PM at The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street.)

Broadway Rising Stars is the second eventin The Town Hall 2014 Summer Season: Broadway Preludes, a trio of unforgettable one-night-only events featuring music from some of Broadway's most beloved songwriters, critically acclaimed musical performers, and fresh-faced talent on the brink of discovery. The series launches on Friday, June 27 at 8PM with The Ambassador Revue, the American premiere of a lost Cole Porter score featuring Vince Giordano and The Nighthawks, Amy Burton, Anita Gillette, Jason Graae, Ted Levy, Catherine Russell, Tom Wopat, Randy Skinner, Sara Brians and Mary Giattino-Styles. On Thursday, July 17 at 8PM, the series concludes with Hershey Felder (George Gershwin Alone) portraying the great Leonard Bernstein in Maestro Bernstein, an original play with music.

Founded in 1921 by suffragettes, The Town Hall began as a lecture hall and public debate forum and grew to be a landmark institution for arts, culture, and education. For over twenty-five years, The Town Hall has hosted live broadcasts of Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion and produced a number of new and critically acclaimed musical series, including Century of Change, Not Just Jazz, Broadway by the Year, Broadway Cabaret Festival and, recently, Newish Jewish Music Festival and Leyendas: Latin Music Legends.
