This week, BroadwayWorld.com will be catching up with catching up with some of the dancers baring it all for BC/EFA with a series of profiles that will hopefully give you a glimpse of the person behind the g-string. Next to "step up to the pole" to be profiled is Broadway Bares alumnus and former Bares poster boy - James Brown III
Name: James Brown III
Currently appearing in: I am currently in the Hit New Broadway Musical "Memphis." I was last seen in "Girl Crazy" at Encores! and "The Little Mermaid."
Zodiac Sign: I am a proud Scorpio
Hometown: My hometown is Dana Point, CA: yes that is in The OC and yes I do surf...that's right, a black boy that can surf.
Came to New York with dreams of: I came to NYC with a research grant to do psychology research on male dancers. I was here with the dream of becoming a psychiatrist and now I am living someone else's dream of being an actor on Broadway. I couldn't be happier...well that's not true. I could be happier if Broadway actors were paid as much as screen actors.
First Stripped in: I first appeared 2006's Broadway Bares XVI - New York Strip. The next year, I was promoted to "poster boy" (The March Hare) for Broadway Bares 18 - Wonderland and performed the lead strip in "Shake Yo' Tailfeather".
Favorite Guilty Pleasure: My favorite guilty pleasure is that I don't have curtains or blinds in my bedroom and I have no intentions of buying any. Use your imagination.
Personal Statement: Don't miss my solo strip because I am representing the Islands of Hawaii, I am giving good abs doing the Hula, and breaking out a new special skill...POI BALLS
