THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - will welcome back Bon Bon Burlesque with two more scintillating shows on Friday, February 22 and Friday, March 22, both at 9:30 PM. The acclaimed troupe returns to the club after their recent standing room only New Year's Eve celebration. The Puerto Rico-born, Bronx-bred choreographer and performer Marlyn Ortiz, along with choreographer Emmanuel E. Hernandez, directs an all-female cast of New York's hottest dancers, aerialists and comediennes in a show that sets traditional and neo-burlesque elements to Latin rhythms. The evening features the beautiful ladies of Bon Bon Burlesque, in addition to comedienne Lori Sommer, also known as "Madam Honey," singer Rachel Stern, also known as "Ray Ray Star," and Jose Mitaynes as "Manuel." The show includes songs such as La Lupe's "Latin Fever," Madonna's "Justify Your Love," and Esthero's "Wikked Lil' Girrrls."
Marlyn Ortiz (Director and Choreographer) was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Bronx, New York. She began her professional career after graduating from the SUNY Purchase Dance Conservatory. Her skills and talent have taken her around the world as a dancer, aerialist and choreographer, including world tours with Madonna, Taylor Swift, Black Eyed Peas, Usher, Britney Spears, and Mariah Carey. Marlyn has also danced with JLo, Katy Perry, Faith Evans, and many more. She has performed on Broadway and Off-Broadway productions including Disney's Tarzan and the smash hit shows De La Guarda and Fuerza Bruta as an Captain and Aerialist/Dancer. Marlyn also choreographed John Leguizamo in his one man Broadway show Ghetto Klown and Al Pacino for the film Stand up Guys. Marlyn's fitness life started appearing in workout videos such as Insanity, Brazilian Butt Lift and T25. She is currently Madonna's personal trainer.
EMMANUEL E. HERNANDEZ served as choreographer for John Leguizamo's Ghetto Klown at Broadway's Lyceum Theatre and on HBO, as well as Latin History for Morons at Broadway's Studio 54. He served as director for No Reason To Cry, the one-woman show by Judy Torres. He has choreographed videos for Don Omar, Thalia, and Scarlett Santana. As a dancer, he appeared with Danity Kane, Jojo, Wayne Brady, Ariana Grande, Prince Royce, Daddy Yankee, Wisin Yandell and on "Saturday Night Live" and "Glee."
