BIG RED & THE BOYS to Appear Live in Chicago! ImageFor that special mix of naughty and nice, Big Red and the Boys presents a non-traditional evening of songs, stories and spirits starring Meghan "Big Red" Murphy, John Francisco, Patrick Andrews, TJ Chernick and Nick Davio. Big Red and the Boys is a celebration of chosen family that has already become an annual tradition for Chicagoans looking to escape the typical holiday drudgery.

Big Red opens her living room to you, sharing holiday stories and humor, toasting the New Year and serenading the audience with song stylings from Irving Berlin standards to original works to some funked-up Destiny's Child. Grab a drink at the bar and get to know the people next to you at what's bound to become your new home for the holidays!

Big Red and the Boys are also headed out on a three-city tour. Check them out in Chicago-12/10 & 12/11, Philly-12/16, and NYC-12/18.

Meghan Murphy is a Jeff Award nominated actor/singer/dancer/cabaret and recording artist who has been seen in countless shows and concerts throughout Chicago, NYC, Boston, LA, Canada and Europe. Last December Big Red & The Boys embarked on their first three-city-tour of Chicago, Philadelphia and NYC, selling out each stop along the way. In theater, she just returned from originating a role in the world premiere of Something Wicked This Way Comes at Delaware Theater Company and was also seen as Tanya in the sold out run of Mamma Mia! at The Marriott Theater. In addition, she wrapped shooting the anticipated Chicago-centric feature film, Captive State with Participant Media. This past year, she originated the role of Airman Fillmore in the World Premiere of Hazel: A Musical Maid in America (directed by Josh Bergasse), and starred in Smokey Joe's Café (Pattie; directed by Marcia Milgrim Dodge) both at Drury Lane Theater. Previous credits include: City of Angels (Oolie/Donna; Jeff Nomination) Marriott Theater, Tommy (Acid Queen) & Rent (Joanne) at Paramount Theater, American Mixtape (The Second City), Hair (Arizona Theater Company), Broadway in Chicago's World Premiere of music from The First Wives Club: The Broadway Musical, Chicago Humanities Festival, Chicago Sings, 50 Shades! "Meghan (Big Red) is the most versatile and organic vocalist in Chicago. There's not a genre she can't sing and make it sound as if the song wasn't written expressly for her. So many singers can be put into categories, "pop singer," "cabaret singer," "rock singer," but Meghan covers every genre her vocal chords take on and does it seamlessly." -Windy City Times

"Meghan Murphy has the pipes and personality that has entertained crowds for years. If you haven't seen 'Big Red' take over a room yet, what are you waiting for?"-Windy City Times.
