A group of International Artists will come together this October for a unique theatre performance in one of Liverpool's brightest new venues.

Teatro Pomodoro will present Cabaret From The Shadows, an evening of clowning, bouffon and dark comedy on October 13 and 14 at The Invisible Wind Factory, the new performance space from the crew behind legendary Liverpool club The Kazimier.

With recent successful performances at Physical Fest and Threshold Festival and past acclaimed shows at Edinburgh and Camden Fringe respectively, Cabaret From The Shadows is a creation from Liverpool-based theatre company Teatro Pomodoro.

Teatro Pomodoro is an ensemble of International Artists from Canada, Japan, Spain, Italy and one Scouser! They all met at the famous École Philippe Gaulier, a prestigious French clown school in Étampes, just outside of Paris.

The ensemble consists of Carmen Arquelladas from Spain (Resurrection Half Price / Edinburgh Fringe 2014), Simone Tani from Italy (The Virgin and the Lamb / TedFest 2014), Duncan Cameron from Canada (Untitled Shakespeare / Prague Fringe Festival 2014), Leebo Luby from Liverpool (Farucchio Peru is Extraordinaire / Physical Fest 2015) and Miwa Nagai from Japan (Le Banquet / Tokyo Roppongi Art Night 2013).

The performance is cabaret - but not as we know it...

In a small community, not too far from Liverpool's City Centre; existing amongst The Shadows, there live a group of social rejects sent away from our cities and our societies to live hidden from us. These creatures live outside our social constructs, on The Edge of all things decent and nice. They've been cruelly chased away from the cities and towns they used to call home.

Once in a while - when the moon is full and wine flows - we allow these freaks back into the fold to entertain us... without realising, of course, that we laugh at our own, filthy reflections. On October 13 and 14, the gates of Liverpool will be open to this group of misfits, and they will welcome you with big toothy grins.

These creatures are gifted with dark talents and uncomfortable truths to tell: gifts that have been nurtured from time spent on The Edge of all things decent, good and moral...

This show has been supported by Arts Council England. Expect laughs, expect gasps, and expect the unexpected...

Simone Tani, performer and co-founder of Teatro Pomodoro explained: "Our production takes the form of a cabaret show, featuring live music, clowning, burlesque, physical theatre and dark comedy.

Performer Duncan Cameron added: "The audience can expect laughs, gasps, and the unexpected. This is an exciting event for us and we are really looking forward to playing in the Invisible Wind Factory. We expect not to leave anybody indifferent with our unique form and insanity."

So for one night only, let devilry, illusion, mischief and merriment seize your very heart and soul at the Cabaret From The Shadows!

Cabaret From The Shadows will be performed at The Invisible Wind Factory on Regent Road in Liverpool on October 13th and 14th with tickets at £12 (£10 concessions) available from www.teatropomodoro.com. Tickets are now on sale for just £8 if booked in advance online before 10th October.
