19-year-old Emma Hunton, of Broadway's Spring Awakening will go it solo at NYC's (Le) Poisson Rouge tonight, Monday, October 11 at 10pm. Under the music direction of Trapper Felides, the concert will include a soulful and eclectic mix of pop, rock and theater tunes, including covers of songs by Alanis Morissette, Joni Mitchell, Pink, Robbie Williams, Britney Spears, and Beth Hart, as well as a world premiere of a new song by Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk.
Music director Trapper Felides is thrilled to be back on stage at LPR where he last stood when The Meeting (with Justin Sayre) did a summer benefit for the Ali Forney Center. Recent concert work includes Our Hit Parade, Trapper's Greatest Hits, The Molly Pope Show, and Bridget Everett's We've Got Tonight (all at Joe's Pub). Trapper has recently been seen on The Chelsea Handler Show, The Today Show, and Nightline, and he has been filmed for E! and profiled in the New York Post and The New York Times. Trapper founded Upright Cabaret with Shane Scheel and Chris Isaacson where he performed with the best talent in stage and screen.
