The show must go on! Surely, that was part of Barry Levitts's creed.

Andrea Wolff will perform "Prisoner of Love," her final collaboration with the late Musical Director, Barry Levitt, and Peter Napolitano, Director, at Don't Tell Mama on Sunday, October 1st at 7pm and Saturday, November 11th at 5:30pm. Matthew Martin Ward has gamely stepped in to play Barry's exquisite arrangements and lead the band that includes bassist Boots Maleson, violinist Rob Thomas and percussionist Howie Gordon.

Barry Levitt, aka "the Maestro," who was beloved and admired from coast to coast, passed away suddenly on September 21st.

The theme is LOVE in all its guises, and Wolff - a skilled musical comedy performer who has tread the boards on Broadway and National Tours and is a veteran TV personality - plays her theme both straight and for laughs, interpreting a painfully funny, hilariously sad collection of songs about the many "crimes" we all commit in the name of love: jealousy, betrayal, deceit, revenge and more. The superb repertoire is culled from Broadway, Pop and Great American Songbook and includes music from Kander and Ebb, Joni Mitchell, Cole Porter, The Righteous Brothers and Carrie Underwood to name a diverse few.

The show includes a Levitt/Napolitano composition commissioned for the project, the title song, Prisoner of Love. This show is a GEM, with wonderful songs spanning American Songbook, wide-ranging pop and Broadway. Don't Tell Mama is a CASH ONLY only room. Call 212.757.0788 Ext 6 for reservations.
