Michael Martinez will present An Evening of Music and Comedy IV at Don't Tell Mama on Tuesday October 14 at 7:00 pm. This showcase and variety show will feature singer Adam Kee, singer/songwriter Katelyn Nudo, recording artsist Kristin Trotta, and singer / songwriter Andrea Dee. Comedian Matt Florio will be the Special Guest Host for the evening. Producer Michael Martinez has previously presented showcases at Don't Tell Mama and several other New York City clubs. These showcases highlight emerging stars in comedy, music, and musical theater. Showtime is 7:00 pm, door opens at 6:30pm. Admission is $15.00, plus a two drink minimum. Adam Kee is an actor and singer who completed his M.F.A. in Acting in 2007 (Actors Studio Drama School/New School for Drama). While in Graduate School, he studied with Emmy and Tony Award-winning actor, Ron Leibman, as well as acclaimed actor/director/playwright, Austin Pendleton, and Tony-nominated actor, Robert LuPone. Adam holds a B.A. in Theatre & Vocal Performance (Musical Theatre emphasis) from McKendree University, a liberal arts college in the St. Louis metro-east area. He also has additional training from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. New York Credits include: Elton John in Rocket Man (Triad Theatre), Suffici in Scenes from an Execution (59 East 59th Theatre), The Proprietor/First Apprentice in Woyzeck (Far From Oz Productions), and Charlie in Bekah Brunstetter's Sick, which was a winner at the 2006 Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Play Festival. Additional NYC credits include roles with: Horizon Theatre Rep, American Theatre of Actors, American Place Theatre, and the Producers' Club. Regional Credits include: Tom Wingfield in The Glass Menagerie, Charlie Conlon (and multiple other characters) in Stones in His Pockets, and Walker Harris in Two Rooms (NH Regional Theatre Award Nomination), all at the Winnipesaukee Playhouse in New Hampshire.Additional regional credits include: Sylvia, Fallen Angels, Almost Maine. Musical Theatre credits include: El Gallo in The Fantasticks, Harold Hill in The Music Man, Bill Sykes in Oliver!, Benjamin in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Drake in Annie Warbucks, The King in The King and I. Katelyn Rose Nudo is a powerhouse singer, songwriter and a music journalist. In just five years, she has written for several publications including Billboard magazine and The New York Press, and has interviewed artists from 50 Cent to Keyshia Cole. As a singer, Katelyn has performed throughout the country in venues including The Whisky A Go-Go and The Continental Arena. The multi-talented vocalist has a vast collection of her own original songs from pop to rock, and she now works with multi-platinum producers on songwriting projects for herself and major label artists. Among her continued work in the music industry, Katelyn has been in many musical theatre productions. Along with established playwright and vocal coach, Rob LaRocco, Katelyn is currently co-writing her own musical called "Lips, Hips and Magic." Katelyn is thrilled to have been invited back to Don't Tell Mama's, and for the first time ever, she will be performing an exclusive excerpt from "Lips, Hips and Magic." Kristin Trotta is a hot new artist on the New York music scene. Blonde, sassy, and stylish, with a set of pipes to back it up, she is a talent not to be missed. Live performance is her forte – her performance abilities continually leave audiences amazed and her talent easily rivals many of today's established artists. Matt Florio is a dynamic comedian best known for his hilarious observational humor and character voices. A native of Florida, Matt began his career by performing character voices on the "Scotty Rollo & Philly Dan Radio Show" in Fort Lauderdale . He later went on to study improv and sketch comedy in New York at the famed Second City and Upright Citizens Brigade. Matt soon transitioned to stand up where he excelled quickly. He performs regularly at New York's major venues as well as in New Jersey, where he co-founded two of New Jersey's most successful stand up shows, "Stand Up Parmesan" and "Newark Comedy Show". Matt is currently in pre-production of a television show he created and recently co-founded Comedy Doctors .
