In TOO CLOSE TO THE SUN: The Smoldering Lyrics of Amanda Yesnowitz, join Amanda and a luminous lineup of performers as they heat up the eve of New Year's Eve with hot songs about love, art, angst, and beverages.

A Jonathan Larson Award winner, a Dramatists Guild fellow, and a 4-time MAC Award nominee, Amanda's natural gift for wordplay is an open secret among nightlife scenesters and theatre insiders. She is currently writing lyrics for the adaptation of "Somewhere in Time" (produced by Ken Davenport), which will have its tryout at Portland Center Stage in May of 2013. Amanda's linguistic flair extends to the puzzle world: her debut as a crossword constructor was published this summer in the New York Times...on a Sunday.

The evening will feature music by composers Deborah Abramson, Brian Cimmet, Skip Kennon, Pete Mills, Steve Marzullo, Doug Katsaros, and Jason Robert Brown.

Performers scheduled to appear are Andrew Samonsky (Scandalous, South Pacific), Elizabeth Stanley (Cry-Baby, Company), Jeff Blumenkrantz (Into the Woods, How to Succeed), Jessica Vosk (Encores' Merrily We Roll Along, Death Takes a Holiday), Sarah Corey (Illyria), and Jennifer Blood (Nymph Errant).

The show starts at 9:30pm tonight, December 30th. There is a $12 cover and a two-drink minimum. Reservations can be made by calling 212.555.5438 or by clicking HERE.
