Cabaret patroness Madame Mathieu has selected Broadway's Allie Trimm (13 The Musical, Bye Bye Birdie), Brandon Espinoza (Tuck Everlasting, Gypsy) and L'ogan J'ones (The Spongebob Musical) as guests of honor at the fifth edition of the Bistro Awards Critics' Pick Madame Mathieu's Soiree.
The show will be held at Duplex on September 8th at 9:30pm. Described as "an Ed Sullivan Show for a new generation" (Gerry Geddes), this "variety show with an avant garde twist" is as unpredictable as the patroness herself. The eclectic evening will feature an all New Group of rising stars in stand-up, poetry, dance, songwriting, and performance art while Trimm, Espinoza and J'ones will accept creative dares that arise from Mme. M's insane imagination.
Hosted by four-time MAC Award nominee Drew Fornarola (off-Broadway's STRAIGHT) and directed by Tyler Spicer, the evening will feature writer Britt Bonney, magicIan Patrick Michael Davis, Comedian Mike Bonara, Singer Songwriter Blake Pfeil, actor Alex Goley, and an experimental Shakespeare act in addition to the guests of honor.
Madame Mathieu's Soiree will take place at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre, 61 Christopher Street, on Thursday, September 8th at 9:30pm. Tickets are $10 online and $15 at the door. There is a two-drink minimum. For tickets, call 212-989-3015, visit www.theduplex.com, or go to www.purplepass.com/#146381.
