Ali Ewoldt, John Riddle, & More Feature In Look WHAT YOU STARTED: THE MUSIC OF WILL BUCK At The Green Room 42 Image

The Green Room 42 will present the January 28th concert at 9:30pm.

Go-go dancers, frisky housewives, jaded gays, lovelorn flappers - musical theater composer Will Buck has seen (and written) it all. And boy, is he ready to tell you about it. Featuring a bombshell cast of Broadway favorites and celebrating over a decade of collaboration, Buck tracks his career - the the ups, downs, and everything in between - through a hilarious, heartfelt evening of songs from more than six original pieces, all backed by stunning new orchestrations. The concert will showcase never-before-heard work from collaborators John Dietrich, Cory Conley, and Deb Poppel, including from O'Neill finalist ONLY ANNE and the upcoming GO (based on the Cory Krueckeberg film Getting Go).

The concert will feature Randy Harrison (Queer as Folk), Ali Ewoldt (The Phantom of The Opera), John Riddle (Frozen), Rema Webb (Escape to Margaritaville), Janine LaManna (Seussical), Deven Kolluri (The Boy Who Danced On Air), John-Michael Lyles (Sweeney Todd), and Liz Leimkuhler (Beardo). Music direction and orchestrations by Matt Aument. Direction by Allen MacLeod.

Tickets start at $22.50, and there is no food or beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at www.thegreenroom42.com. Doors open at 8:45 for the 9:30 concert. The Green Room 42 is located at 570 Tenth Avenue (at 42nd Street, on the 4th Floor of Yotel).

Will Buck is a New York-based composer, lyricist, and pianist. His musical ONLY ANNE (book and lyrics by John Dietrich) was featured in Goodspeed Opera House's Festival of New Musicals in January 2016, and his short piece, FRANKLIN PIERCE: DRAGON SLAYER (written with Preston Max Allen), was featured in the 2017 Sound Bites Festival and 2018's City Theatre Summer Shorts, where it was a finalist for the National Award for Short Playwriting. Will is an alum of the NYU Musical Theatre Graduate Writing Program, Northwestern University, and a current member of the BMI Workshop, where he received the Harrington Award for Outstanding Artistic Achievement. Other writing credits include: LEARNING TO PLAY, JOIN THE CLUB (with Lauren Taslitz and Leighanna Reichenbach), TOYBOX (with Teresa Lotz), GO (with Cory Conley) and the upcoming LARRY AND LARRY AND ME (with Deb Poppel), and POWERLESS. His work has been featured in performances at 54 Below, Joe's Pub, The Duplex, and Don't Tell Mama. Will is a proud member of ASCAP and the Dramatist's Guild. willbuck.com
