Alexandra Foucard and David Sisco Bring COMES LOVE to The Triad Tonight

COMES LOVE returns to The Triad tonight, February 18 and tomorrow, February 19 at 7 PM as part of the International Cabaret Festival after their sold-out show this past fall.

The duo is composed of Broadway and Grammy-nominated actress ALEXANDRA FOUCARD and composer/performer DAVID SISCO, whose works have been performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.

Their 70-minute cabaret highlights an eclectic mix of Jazz, Standards, Musical Theatre, Pop, R&B, Motown and Country Music with surprising mash-ups. The duo brings their own diverse backgrounds as singing artists to the mix and are accompanied by a stellar four-piece band.

Alexandra Foucard is a renaissance actor for the 21st century, setting her own boundaries. Born in Haiti, she considers herself to be to be an amalgamation of cultures and ethnicities with a big dollop of spirituality. An accomplished actress whose principle work has been seen on stages all over the country, including Broadway. Many of Ms. Foucard's roles have brought her accolades including an NAACP Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Play, a Grammy Nomination for Best Cast Recording and two Helen Hayes Nominations just to name a few. Ms. Foucard's stage credits include Adelaide in Guys and Dolls (opposite Maurice Hines) Broadway National Tour and Fantine in Les Miserables on Broadway. Pansy in House of Flowers at Encores! Off-Center at City Center. Ms. Foucard has also starred in many film and television projects including Cold Feet, which garnered an Honorable Mention in the Black Film Festival. She is currently collaborating in writing a play with music whose main character is the legendary Josephine Premice. David Sisco is a member of the Dramatist's Guild and BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theater Workshop (Advanced) and is an alumnus of the New Dramatists Composer- Librettist Studio in New York. He is the author of Here I Am: A Musical Personal Ad, Variations on a Theme of You, and BAIT n' SWISH. David is currently collaborating with book writer/lyricist Tom Gualtieri on two musicals: Falling to Earth, and I'm Afraid, You're Afraid: 448 Things to Fear And Why and LA-based playwright Sylvan Oswald on a forthcoming show. A winner of the 2010 NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) Composition Award, David is a prolific art song composer. His songs have been heard at concerts produced by Friends & Enemies of New Music, New Music New York, Joy in Singing, Lyricfest, Songfest, Songfusion and, most recently, at Carnegie Hall. Sisco has been commissioned by Manhattan Girls Chorus, Mirari Brass Quintet, Cayuga Vocal Ensemble and Minnesota State University Moorhead. David has served on the voice faculties of Northeastern and Suffolk University, and currently teaches private voice at Marymount Manhattan College. He also maintains a private studio in New York and leads masterclasses around the country on preparing contemporary art song and musical theatre.
