Corinna Sowers Adler will be joined by Broadway Arranger, Lawrence Yurman on piano for the premier of a new show entitled, "Something Beautiful".
Fresh from her performance on the Mabel Mercer Cabaret Convention, Singer Corinna Sowers Adler will perform in the Music Over Manhattan series on Saturday, November 5 at 7pm in the majestic Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall with songs by Stephen Schwartz, Ahrens and Flaherty, Frank Wildhorn, Ilene Angel and many other beautiful composers.
Corinna made her solo cabaret debut in 2010 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. Ms. Sowers Adler has created and hosts two reoccurring musical series, Music at the Mansion in Bloomfield, NJ and Cabaret on the Hudson in Irvington, NY. Both of the series showcase Broadway and Cabaret performers as well as up and coming musicians and performers. Corinna is a two time Tony Award nominee for the Excellence in Theatre Education award and Artistic Director of NiCori Studios and Productions and will produce a Winter Gala with several Broadway performers to help support her students.
Pianist and arranger, Lawrence Yurman, is currently the Musical Director on the Broadway bound War Paint, starring Christine Ebersole and Patty LuPone. He has musically directed or conducted ten other Broadway productions including On A Clear Day You Can See Forever and Grey Gardens. Also joining Corinna will be international performer, Christian Fabian on bass and ASCAP winning composer, Colleen Clark will be on drums.
Two featured guests artists on "Something Beautiful" will be Broadway veteran T. Oliver Reid and dancer Lisa Grimes as well as a chorus of students from Sowers Adler's voice studio. "Something Beautiful" is produced by Studio Senakwami.
