AN EVENING AT THE JEWEL LOUNGE Comes to 53rd Above

Prepare to be submerged into a world of sinners and seductresses in Edward Denby's new piece 'An Evening At The Jewel Lounge'.

This vaudeville style revue transforms the cabaret space '53rd Above' into a rip-roaring night of numbers you'll know and love. Equipped with a dazzling young cast and brilliant accompanist: Brian Sweeney, the show promises to be an incredibly decadent night.

Set in a luxurious vaudeville bordello, all nine performers will each tell their tawdry tale that lead them to the so- called 'Jewel Lounge'. From runaway actresses, scandalous pregnancies to world famous murder-trials, the aptly named Jewel Vixens are sure to keep you enthralled; all night long.

The show combines the glamour of the Golden Age with contemporary Musical Theatre sounds. All the costumes are inspired by the classic vaudeville look, intertwined with flairs from many different eras and cultures. You might see an art-deco fringe draped against an eccentric flamenco lace. This melting pot of design creates a feast for the eyes and perfectly frames the powerhouse voices around which the show centers.

The piece has been curated and directed by Edward Denby who, originally hailing from the north of England, is no stranger to the stage. Starting at a young age, he has since performed in three West End tours and several notable regional productions. His experience is represented in his NYC directing debut. He has been greatly assisted in the design of the show by multi-faceted cast member, Gabrielle Lutz.

The producing company, Bagela4Art, was founded and is currently run by Giorgia Testa. The company's main goal is to promote and invest in International Artists performing in the United States. Edward Denby's new project seemed appealing and original, because it revolutionizes the idea of a Cabaret.

Jorge Echeverria and Edward lead the show as the enigmatic Opal and Obsidian. They act as guides through the trials and tribulations of seven wonderfully talented leading ladies, who each has a moment to tell their story through song and dance.

The production is choreographed by the outstanding Adriana Pannuzzo, whose talents are vast. She recently returned to NYC following an accident which unfortunately took her back to her home country, Australia, for just under a year. Nevertheless fully recovered she is ready to take the city by storm!

Phenomenal performances are also given by the incomparable Jewel Vixens. Leading our stellar group of ladies; the ravishing Gabrielle Lutz, the alluring Courtney Amm, the scandalous Nina Celedonio, the bewitching Genevieve McCarthy, the flirtatious Liv Williams and the sultry Tabitha Cheyenne.
