On Sunday, May 11, 54 Below will present "54 Sings Merrily We Roll Along." The one night only event replaces the previously announced "54 Sings Time And Again" concert that was to have taken place on May 11.

"Unfortunately, we have to postpone indefinitely the presentation of Time and Again, a score near and dear to all of us at 54 Below," says Phil Geoffrey Bond, Director of Original Programming, 54 Below. "We couldn't find creative solutions to present the score in its best light and are postponing this until we do. We are thrilled that Merrily We Roll Along will be the latest score celebrated in our exciting '54 Sings' concert series."

With Merrily We Roll Along, Tony Award winners Stephen Sondheim and George Furth reunited 10 years after their landmark musical Company to turn the traditional showbiz musical on its head with this compelling Broadway fable about friendship, compromise and the high price of success. In spite of its limited initial run on Broadway, the show has become an audience favorite, having been produced in numerous, acclaimed New York, West End, and regional productions. The popular score features some of the most beloved songs in the Sondheim canon including "Old Friends," "Not a Day Goes By," "Good Thing Going," "Our Time," and "Like It Was."

"54 Sings Merrily We Roll Along"is the next installment in 54 Below's "54 Sings" series, which celebrates some of our favorite musicals by reliving the scorewith a concert performed by some of the best in the biz - sometimes by the very voices for whom they were written. With casting still to be announced, the concert will be hosted by 54 Below's Director of Original Programming, Phil Geoffrey Bond, who will keep things rolling along with his trademark anecdotes, fun facts and assorted tidbits about the fabled Sondheim score.
