54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club applauds The United States Supreme Court on today's historic decision. In the three years since its opening, 54 Below has become a favorite venue for the LGBT community on both sides of the footlights, hosting numerous, LGBT-themed artists and performances, fundraisers, same-sex weddings, and even events to shine a spotlight on same-sex couples from states that had previously not recognized the rights of these couples to marry.
In reflecting on their recent nuptials at 54 Below, LGBT couples have said: "We felt you all embraced us a couple. We look forward to many more happy times at 54 Below ...you will always have a special place in our hearts." (Howard Brenner & David Usdan); "Everyone made us feel like they really and truly cared. Like it was a member of their own family getting married." (Todd & Jhon Graff); "As we quickly approach our first anniversary, Mark and I still remember our wedding and what a wonderful day it was. Everyone at the club seemed devoted to giving us the greatest day they could." (Bart Greenberg & Mark Wallis)
