54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents "The Songs of Nick Luckenbaugh" tonight, July 11, 2015. On the heels of this spring's Cutting-Edge Composers concert, Nick returns to 54 Below with the solo concert debut of his folk, rock, and jazz-infused musical theater work. Music directed by Jeremy M. Franze, the concert features songs from Nick's recently premiered musical Royal Fables as well as new music.
Guest performers include Krystina Alabado (American Idiot, Evita tour), Max Chernin (Brooklynite), Betsy Morgan (The King and I, Found), Sydney Sainte (The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner), Devon Buchanan, Theresa Burns, Michael Focas, and Elyssa Renee Ramirez.
"The Songs of Nick Luckenbaugh" plays 54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on Saturday, July 11th at 11:30pm. There is a $15 cover charge in advance ($18 at the door) and $20 food and beverage minimum. Nick Luckenbaugh is music theater writer based in New York City. His work has been performed at 54 Below, Atlantic Theater Company, Sidewalk Cafe, The Path Cafe, The Underground Lounge, and The Cellar at The West End among others. His song and dance cycle Royal Fables recently premiered in November 2014 at Libra Theater Company in association with The TRUF. Other projects include original book musicals Unbound (with singer/songwriter Amy Molewski) and Aurora, both of which recently received developmental readings at the Musical Theatre Factory. His songs have been twice recognized by the SongDoor International Songwriting Competition.
