VH1 is rewriting the script on its critically acclaimed music franchise VH1 Storytellers and for the first time in network history, the series will be broadcast live from a venue of special meaning to the performing artist. International superstar and singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran will kick off the new season live from Dublin, Ireland on Saturday, January 24 at 7/6C. Sheeran will perform and share personal stories from his life that have inspired his chart-topping songs from Whelan's in Dublin, the venue where he first saw the artist that made him want to pursue music -- Damien Rice. VH1 Storytellers Live: Ed Sheeran will also air live across the UK on MTV Music at 12AM GMT and live stream on VH1.com as well as on the VH1 App. Fans can continue watching an exclusive 30 minute after show, only on VH1.com and in the VH1 App. VH1 Storytellers is a VH1 original series in which singer-songwriters perform in front of an intimate audience and tell stories about their lives, lyrics and careers. The series premiered in 1996 with Ray Davies. Since then, VH1 Storytellers has showcased some of the greatest names in music. David Bowie, Kanye West, Bruce Springsteen, Mary J. Blige, Taylor Swift, P!nk, Alicia Keys, Cee Lo Green, Green Day, Elton John, Coldplay, Jay-Z, Pearl Jam, Kid Rock, Johnny Cash, Foo Fighters, John Mayer and Christina Aguilera and many others have graced the VH1 Storytellers stage.
