NHRA Drag Racing was founded in March 13, 1951 by Wally Parks and the professional NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series has evolved over the last 60 years into the quickest, fastest and most intense form of sport on the planet. Our Top Fuel dragsters and Funny Cars create 7,000 horsepower and accelerate from 0-to-100 mph in less than a second, faster than anything on Earth. They reach top speeds in excess of 300 mph and every heads-up, win-or-go-home race is decided in 4-7 seconds.
And "EVERY TICKET IS A PIT PASS." It's no wonder SportsBusiness Journal ranked NHRA the "Best Value in Sports" and that in 2010 NHRA experienced the most significant growth of "Avid Sports Fans" among the 31 Major sports leagues polled by ESPN/TNS Sports.
Every one of the 22 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series races can be seen in spectacular high definition on ESPN2, our broadcast partner since 2001 (and through 2016).
