As the hit series South Beach Tow prepares to close out its first season, truTV has ordered an additional 13 episodes. The series, which marks truTV's first collaboration with Jennifer Lopez's Nuyorican Productions and Bodega Pictures, has been a strong performer for the network. The finale of South Beach Tow will air tomorrow night at 9:30 p.m. (ET/PT), while new episodes are slated to begin in early Fall.
South Beach Tow centers on the family-run Tremont Towing and its affable-but-tough manager, Robert Ashenoff. The staff includes Robert's six-foot-three, 300-pound son, Robbie Jr., and his wildly tattooed daughter, Christie. Driving for Tremont Towing are bad boy Eddie, "cuddly bear" Jerome, new guy Perez and tough-as-nails fan favorite Bernice. With plenty of confrontations, hilarious interactions and a slew of unpredictable situations, there's never a dull moment.
In tomorrow night's season finale, entitled "Trouble at Tremont," Robbie's efforts to bring Christie back to Tremont are thwarted by an explosive attack. Bernice gets confronted by rowdy frat guys. Robbie and Jerome get more than they bargained for when attempting to tow a limo from a busy hotel. And Perez and Tremont Towing competitor Larry crash the yard with a shocking ultimatum.
South Beach Tow is executive-produced by Jennifer Lopez and Simon Fields of Nuyorican Productions, as well as Benjamin Nurick, Josh Ackerman and Zachary Werner of Bodega Pictures.
