Turner's truTV has added a "who's who" of funny people to the cast of its upcoming scripted comedy series I'M SORRY from creator and writer Andrea Savage (Veep, Episodes, Sleeping with Other People). The series, currently in production in Los Angeles, follows seemingly confident, together comedy writer, wife and mom Andrea (played by Savage), who comically exposes her inner immaturity and neuroses through unexpected life situations.
Appearing in the series' first season in recurring roles are Kathy Baker (Edward Scissorhands, The Ranch), Nelson Franklin (Veep), Judy Greer (Arrested Development), Jason Mantzoukas (The House, The League), Martin Mull (Veep), Lyndon Smith (Parenthood, Public Morals), Gary Anthony Williams (The Boondocks), and Steve Zissis (Togetherness). The series will also feature guest starring turns by John Ross Bowie (Speechless), Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex), Jamie Denbo (Children's Hospital), Rebecca Henderson (Mistress America), Nick Kroll (Kroll Show, The League), Paul Scheer (Fresh Off the Boat), June Squibb (Nebraska), Gillian Vigman (The Hangover) and Kulap Vilaysack (Love).
In season one, Andrea (Savage) navigates the oftentimes self-induced COMPLICATIONS of her life alongside her more straitlaced husband Mike (Tom Everett Scott) and their inquisitive daughter Amelia (Olive Petrucci). Andrea's circle of friends include her writing partner Kyle (Mantzoukas), her brother (Franklin) and her divorced parents (Mull and Baker). Watch the first clip from the series below:
I'm Sorry is produced by Savage, Joey Slamon, Gloria Sanchez's Jessica Elbaum, Will Ferrell and Adam McKay and Kablamo's Jason Zaro, Billy Rosenberg, Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer.
I'm Sorry premieres on Wednesday, July 12 at 10pm ET/PT on truTV.
