mun2, the leading Hispanic entertainment cable network for young Hispanic adults, continued to have double digit growth on weekend prime (Saturday/Sunday, 7-11 p.m.) deliveries in the second quarter, according to Nielsen. For the quarter on weekend prime, the network was up +31%, delivering 135,000 total viewers and +34% delivering 78,000 adults 18-49, and was the #1 Hispanic entertainment cable network in weekend prime with women 18-34 and women18-49 out-delivering Discovery en Español, Galavision, FOX Deportes and Tr3s. Programs that anchored and increased deliveries for the quarter remained mun2 original reality series I Love Jenni and Fugitivos de la Ley: Los Angeles, original music series Reventon, as well as the highest delivery for its mun2 Presents series with its mun2 Presents: Fast & the Furious 6.
In addition to weekend prime, mun2 had its best Sunday night deliveries in its history, up +54% with total viewers (123,000), +57% adults 18-49 (72,000) and +10% adults 18-34 (34,000). The network also is the fastest growing Hispanic cable network on Sunday night prime among women, up +47% women 18-34 (22,000) and up +105% women 18-49 (43,000).
The network continued its double-digit growth with women, up +19% with women 18-49 in prime (Monday-Sunday, 7-11 p.m.); up +95% with women 18-49 and +36% women 18-34 in weekend prime; and in total day the network was up +29% with women 18-49.
During Monday through Sunday prime the network continued to out-delivered Spanish language broadcasting networks MundoFox (28,000 vs. 10,000), Estrella TV (28,000 vs. 27,000) and Azteca America (28,000 vs. 20,000) among adults 18-34.
During Fringe, the network was #1 and fastest growing across key demographics beating Discovery en Español, Galavision, FOX Deportes and Tr3s.
mun2.tv continued its explosive growth marking its best quarter deliveries ever, up +207% (5.56 million) in video streams year-over-year and +223% growth in unique visitors, year-over-year.
