getTV invites music fans of all ages to spend Sunday evenings this summer with one of the best-selling recording artists of all time, having sold more than 90 million records worldwide, Mr. Johnny Cash. Known as "The Man in Black," his TV series, which debuted in 1969 and ran for two seasons, featured high profile guest stars representing every style of popular music of the day. This summer, getTV will air episodes of "The Johnny Cash Show," which haven't been shown on TV in decades, beginning July 8 at 10PM ET/9C.

Said Jeff Meier, getTV's SVP Programming and General Manager, "Johnny Cash has a unique enduring universal appeal to both hipster rock & rollers and heartland country fans. He embraced all forms of music, including rockabilly, blues, folk and gospel, and was the epitome of cool. We believe getTV audiences are in for a real treat every Sunday evening this summer with episodes of his series first broadcast almost 50 years ago, with Johnny surrounded by many of the greatest musical talents of all-time."

For getTV's premiere show, Johnny welcomes Roy Orbison and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Future shows include such guests as Glen Campbell, Ray Charles, Judy Collins, Derek & The Dominoes (featuring a young Eric Clapton), Neil Diamond, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Joni Mitchell, The Monkees, Rick Nelson, Stevie Wonder and Tammy Wynette, with a special "All Gospel" episode featuring Mahalia Jackson, Billy Graham, The Staple Singers and The Edwin Hawkins Singers, among others.

Series' regulars included The Carter Family, The Statler Brothers, Carl Perkins, The Tennessee Three and Johnny's wife June Carter (except for part of Season 1 when she was busy giving birth to their son, John Carter Cash). Almost all of the episodes of the show were taped in NASHVILLE at the Ryman, the original home of the Grand Ole Opry,
