Director Emeritus of the Columbus Zoo Jack Hanna pays a visit to "Maury" along with some of the rarest animals and reptiles from all over the world. "Jack Hanna's Spring Jungle" airs on Maury today, March 29 (check local listings).
Host Maury Povich calls Hanna's special guests "the most exotic animals in the entire wild kingdom." In this special episode, viewers will see and learn about exotic animals such as Baby Servals, a Siberian Lynx, a Tamandua, a Seriama, and a Binturong. Some recognizable faces will also make an appearance such as an Albadbra tortoise, black-footed penguin, black bear cub and even an 18 foot-long reticulated python snake that took five animal trainers to carry in.
At the end of the show, Maury surprises the audience made up of children and their families with gift bags full of stuffed animals, Kidz b Kidz cookies, CDs, DVDs, Zoobooks and Zootles magazines, among other items so the kids could take their favorite animal friends home."Maury" is distributed in national syndication by NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution and produced by Stamford Media Center Productions, the same production team behind successful NBCU talk shows including "The Jerry Springer Show," "The Steve Wilkos Show" and "The Trisha Goddard Show."Photo courtesy of NBCUniversal
