Zoey Deutch Will Star in ZOMBIELAND Sequel

Variety reports that "The Set Up" actress Zoey Deutch will lead "Zombieland 2" for Sony Pictures.

Jessie Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin will reprise their roles. Original director Ruben Fleischer and writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese will also return.

The sequel will go into production in January and will be released in October 2019, which is the 10th anniversary of the first film. Lauren Abrahams will oversee the project for Sony.

"Zombieland 2" will be set in a world in which zombie slayers must face off against many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors.

Deutch recently starred in the Netflix hit "The Set Up," She has also signed up to appear in the Ryan Murphy Netflix series "The Politician." Deutch just wrapped production on the indie "Buffaloed."
