Multi-talented actress, singer and dancer Zendaya ("Shake It Up," "Dancing With The Stars") stars in "Zapped," a comedy adventure movie slated to premiere on Disney Channels around the world, as well as on Canada's Family Channel in 2014. The storyline follows 16 year-old Zoey Stevens, a skilled dancer and straight-A student who is having a Hard Time adjusting to a new high school, a new and klutzy dance squad, a new step-dad, three new rowdy step-brothers and an unruly dog. But things change when a dog training app on her smart phone begins to somehow control all the boys around her.

Also starring are Chanelle Peloso ("Radio Rebel") as Rachel Todds, Spencer Boldman (of Disney XD's "Lab Rats") as Jackson Kale, Emilia McCarthy ("Hemlock Grove") as Taylor Dean and Adam DiMarco ("Radio Rebel") as Adam Thompson.

Filmed on Vancouver Island, Canada, the movie is directed by Peter DeLuise ("16 Wishes," "Kyle XY") and executive-produced by Jane Goldenring ("Radio Rebel," "My First Mister"), Carol Baum ("Father of the Bride," "The Good Girl"), Michael Prupas ("The Kennedys") and Harvey Khan ("Spooksville"). Producer on the film is Lisa Towers ("The Christmas Choir"). Based on the book "Boys Are Dogs" by Leslie Margolis, the screenplay is written by Rachelle Skoretz with revisions by Matt Eddy and Billy Eddy and Kara Holden. Aakomon "AJ" Jones ("Pitch Perfect") is the choreographer.

"Zapped" is produced by Off-Leash Teleproductions Inc, distributed by Muse Distribution International and is licensed by ABC Cable Networks and Family Channel.
