According to Deadline, Xavier Dolan and Will Beinbrink have landed supporting roles in New Line Cinema's IT Chapter Two for director Andy Muschietti, who helmed the original. The sequel portrays the kids - members of the Losers' Club, who were tormented by Pennywise - as adults. James McAvoy plays Bill, Bill Hader is Richie, Jessica Chastain is Beverly, James Ransone is Eddie, Andy Bean is Stanley, Jay Ryan is Ben and Isaiah Mustafa is Mike. Bill Skarsgard returns as Pennywise.
Dolan will be playing the role of Adrian Mellon. In the Stephen King novel, Mellon was a gay man living in Derry who was attacked by bullies. Beinbrink will play Tom Rogan who was Beverly's abusive husband in the book and the 1990s miniseries.
Dolan began his career as a child actor in commercials before directing several arthouse feature films. He first received international acclaim in 2009 for his debut feature I Killed My Mother (J'ai tué ma mère), which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in the Director's Fortnight. He has won many awards for his film work, including the Jury Prize at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival for Mommy and the Grand Prix at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival for It's Only The End of the World.
Will Beinbrink has performed in numerous Regional Theater productions including Arms and The Man, and The Shape of Things at Barrington Stage Company, and the Ovation nominated play Caught at the Zephyr Theater. He also performed numerous Shakespeare productions in various venues including Shakespeare on the Sound, Seattle Shakespeare Company, and The Los Angeles Shakespeare Festival. Since moving to LA, he has worked in several Films including Cellular, Fuel, Barracuda; and TV shows including Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Medium, The Unit, Castle, ER, Numb3rs.
