Stage and screen superstar Sir Ian McKellen has hit the set of the highly anticipated new entry in the X-MEN franchise according to a new Vine video posted by X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST director Bryan Singer showing him in the make-up chair onset.
In the six-second Vine short, Singer photographs various metal objects - silverware, metal bowls, a gigantic pinball, a door handle, a bike rack and more - as though we are being compelled to them by some physical force (read: magnetics) before ending on a shot of a make-up chair beset, suavely winking Sir Ian.
Of course, McKellen portrays magnetic Magneto in the mutant-centric films, so the witty metallic-centric Vine video is a more than apt means by which to whet the appetites of fans the world over yearning for a mere glimpse of the new X-MEN and the always spectacular stage and screen stalwart within it now that production has actually begun on the new film.
X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST is set for release in Summer 2014 and also features fellow thespians Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart in addition to McKellen.
